Sweet or Savory Waffles

These 7 ingredient waffles are quick, easy, and DELICIOUS. Serve sweet, savory, or both. Whatever you decide, I am sure you will be in waffle HEAVEN! (This recipe pulled from Minimalist Baker).

  • 1 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk + 1 tsp white or apple cider vinegar

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

  • 1/2 cup gluten-free rolled oats

  • 1 3/4 cups oat flour

  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • pinch sea salt

  • For a sweeter version, you can opt for a bit of vanilla (1 tsp), cinnamon(1/2-1 tsp), berries (1/4 cup), or chocolate chips (1/4 cup)


  1. Combine almond milk and ACV in a bowl, whisk, and let sit for a couple minutes until it curdles. Next add in the oil and maple syrup, whisk, and set aside.

  2. Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl and mix to combine.

  3. Combine wet ingredients to dry and mix until well combined. Taste and adjust flavor as needed.

  4. Allow your mixture to sit for 5 minutes and turn on your waffle iron

  5. Once your waffle iron is heater, coat both the top and bottom with non stick spray before pouring batter.

  6. Serve immediately with desired topping. You can go a more savory route and add garlic mushrooms, onion, and avocado, or top with fresh fruit!
